From “Gone with the Wind” to “Titanic” — The changing shape of women’s clothing

May 25, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$25 – $30

Sherri Starkey, Guest Curator of our exhibit Dressing Downtown, will share the highlights of her research on fashion in Territorial Arizona. Sherri will examine the big changes in women’s fashion between 1863 and 1912. Learn about the many layers women dealt with daily as she undresses a mannequin.  This is the last talk in the fashion series that accompanies our exhibit.

Cocktails and mingling begin at 6pm in the Handcrafted gallery. Ms Starkey will speak at 6:30 and her talk is followed by a tour of Dressing Downtown inside the Rosson House Museum. The Details exhibit will be open for touring during the evening.

$30 in advance, $35 at the door, so buy your tickets now!  Discounted parking in the Heritage Garage with validation.
