Call for Demonstrators

Heritage Square invites historic craft demonstrators to join their 2014-2015 Heritage Saturday season. Tentative dates include October 11, November 8, January 10, February 7, February 14, March 14 and April 11. Heritage Saturdays are free, community days featuring historic demonstrators, kids crafts and hundreds of visitors.
Heritage Square seeks qualified and experienced artisans, re-enactors, and scholars wishing to demonstrate a traditional craft using 19th century materials or methods. Acceptable crafts include but are not limited to – woodworking, fiber arts, cooking, glass blowing, toy/instrument making or blacksmithing.
Requirements –
All demonstrators must use only techniques and tools available at least 100 years ago (ie. no power tools, items with barcodes etc).
Demonstrators are welcome to dress in modern or period appropriate clothing.
All crafts must be handmade.
All demonstrators must submit an application and examples of their work.
