True Confessions of a New York Costumer

Master milliner Jeanne Bjorn will share her stories about working in costume shops in New York in the 80s and 90s. Mingle with Jeanne before the talk at 6pm over a glass of wine. Jeanne will speak at 6:30 and her talk is followed by a tour of the Dressing Downtown exhibit inside the Rosson House Museum. This is the last week to see this exciting exhibit of period clothing in its contemporary setting.

Jeanne has a degree in Textiles and Fashion Design as well as training in millinery from New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. She has worked as a Broadway costumer, designer for various labels as well as her own label sold through Barney’s and other stores. Jeanne now teaches millinery and shoe making nationally and at her own studio in Tucson.

Refreshments provided. Discounted parking in the Heritage Garage with validation.
