A Class to Dye for

October 27, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

$18 – $20

Limited tickets available at the door. $22

Remember the excitement of dying Easter eggs or your first tie-dyed t-shirt?  Channel your inner colorist in this fun workshop!  Follow in the footsteps of generations of our ancestors who dyed fabrics using plants and other natural materials.  Explore the rich history of color, as well as the preparation and application of dyes to natural fibers.  Each participant will create a beautiful silk scarf to keep or give as a gift to a loved one.

All materials are included in the class price.  The class will be held outside so be ready for the seasonal weather.  Please wear clothes that won’t be ruined by a spill or splash of dye.

Instructor Celia Petersen operates Chile Acres Farm.  Celia hand shears, spins, and dyes yarns using plants, from her heritage sheep. Find her products at The Bungalow, on Facebook or at farmers markets around town!
